New for 2023: "Caring for Our Community Days" Sponsorship!
For a $2,500 sponsorship, your organization will be highlighted as a proud sponsor of the cause/day of your choice. As part of the sponsorship, each “Caring for Our Community Days” sponsor will also contribute $5,000 to be donated to the local/regional based organization associated with that particular “Caring for Our Community” day.
A. Monday, September 11, 2023: "Salute to Service"
A sponsor chosen agency who provides support such as housing assistance, health care (acute, long term, mental. etc.) as well as employment/job training for local Veterans.
B. Tuesday, September 12, 2023: “Caring for Kids Day”
A sponsor chosen agency that offers permanent homes to children and youth, mentoring for at risk youth, or volunteer-supplies "closets.
C. Wednesday, September 13, 2023: “We CAN Fight Hunger Day”
MANNA Foodbank is working to serve more than 100,000 people annually, trying to ensure that folks facing an empty plate always have somewhere to turn. MANNA, together with an army of volunteers, distributes more than 50,000 pounds of food every day of the year to WNC residents.
D. Thursday, September 14, 2023: “Caring for Seniors Day”
Meals on Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals and friendly visits to homebound seniors each weekday. Through their meal delivery program, the agency provides vulnerable seniors with nutrition, companionship, and prolonged independence. It all begins with a meal!
