What is Agility?
Agility is a sport where dogs and handlers work together to complete a series of obstacles, including jumps, teeter totters, tunnels, weavepoles and more, while racing against the clock. Both speed and accuracy are judged.
Agility is FUN for both the dog and the handler! Dog's gain confidence, and enjoy running, jumping and weaving through challenges each course presents. Handlers enjoy the special bond that makes their pet their partner.
Spectators Are Welcome at all of our trials and admission is always free. Competition begins each day at approximately 8:00 a.m. and continues throughout the day until approximately 5:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3:00 on Sunday. For your pets comfort, please leave him/her at home.
Trials generally have a food vendor present as well as various vendors selling dog related items such as treats, leashes, beds, T-shirts and agility equipment. There is plenty of seating available to watch the action in both rings, and all are held in covered arenas. In the cooler months, trials are indoors in a heated building. There is no set timetable and individual dog breeds do not run at a particular time, they run by dog height, so if you are looking to see an individual breed, we cannot provide a specific time to come.
